Top things you shouldn't forget in your suitcase!

I've coming barbados for many years now and still i haven't got it right. The essentials always seem to slip my mind, yet i dont fail in being over weight by 3kg!  If you're planning to go barbados for the first time or a verteran, i thought i'd write a few things down that everyone shouldn't forget to pack.

1. Sun block-  Wheather you're black white purple or green you need sun screen. The sun is leathal through out the whole day so protect yourself.

2. Rubber flip flop- The majority of accommodation will be tiled through out. If you're a person that slips and slide when getting out the shower, rubber flip flips save the day!

3. Adaptors! They're probably cheaper to buy in barbados than in your home country and espically airports. I bought one for $6 dollars at a shop called bhanas but you buy them pretty much anywhere.

4. Mini deodorants - life savers when u are out and about. I gurantee a sweat marathron in the first 20 minutes you step out the house/hotel.

5.TIP: Take a small trolley as hand luggage. Pack a toothbrush, flip flops(if you're wearing closed in shoes and socks on the plane), a flannel, night clothes. The flight usually land at night and by the time u get to the hotel after flying 9 hours the last thing you want to do is go searching.

6. If you're going longer than 2 weeks and cant bare to be without a phone. Make sure your phone is unlocked to any network buy a sim card ($25) and internet for a month ($35) and keep in contact with everyone aboard.

7. Immac cream- yes i know its  long process and its rather smelly. I'll tell u why you need it. Mosquitos!  they leave really red bumps on your skin and if you shave with a razor they will bleed and scar you.

Week 1

I did absolutely nothing! Except climatise and surprise a few people. A lot has changed since the last time i was here (2009) there's hotels and condos bulit everywhere. Theres been death, births and marriages. Theres been new faces and old faces who have decided to settle down.  T'is independence day today (friday) every single person young and old men and women are either wearing barbados t-shirts or dressed in blue, yellow and black. Ive never seen so much patriotism in such a small island. The pride they have. I dont think i have a manchester t-shirt or gb item.... Ive keyring mugs t-shirts from spain, hungary and barbados.... Weird *reflects*

Ive been Barbados more the 5 times and still and forget to pack essentials check out the mini video if you're thinking of coming to barbados.

Im living next to an american/bajan... To describe him hes a new yorker corny lines and hes the era of r.kelly, jagged edge and sisqo. So old skool. Hes look like he could of been a dancer in an old foxy brown video.. Ball headed, muscular and brown.

I'm without internet! I know its reallt hard to adjust... Although i hear somewhere that the island had wifi? Im gonna have to investigate. For 2gb for a month is $36 and it doesnt roll over.

It's all business next week though... If you want me to check anything out on the island comment below... A full video on my 1st week in barbados will be upload soon.

Holding on to memories and everything changed.

Ive held on to memories of how things were, how people were not thinking that much would of changed.

How wrong was i. The guys i hung out with are all still cool but it just doesnt feel the same. Mission next week is to find some type of club/societies to go to. I find it easy to talk to people so it shouldnt be so hard. I found a photography club before i left.. Although i left my slr at home as i was overweight.

Tip: if you want to speak to people who dont share a hotel with or family. Get on facebook or google  search for whatever you like somethings bound to come up!

Get a life: Around the world

I've always been a traveller... Ive rarely been home sick. So i would try anywhere once. (with a full research analysis beforehand of course)

Subsquently i would have to think about money accommodation ,work visa etc (unless that could all be arranged! :-) )

So if you're a company or even a goverment of a country and want be to try you out dont hesitate to get in touch!
